Google still treats SEO as the foundation
Google’s current documentation says the same foundational SEO practices apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. Pages still need to be indexable, crawlable, useful and eligible to show with a snippet.
Write unique, non-commodity content
Generic summaries are easy for any model to produce. First-hand examples, clear explanations of trade-offs, real project evidence and specific answers make content more useful to people and more differentiated as a source.
Make important information easy to retrieve
Use descriptive headings, direct answers, relevant internal links and normal HTML text. Do not hide the only useful explanation inside images, animations or interactive widgets.
Use structured data accurately
Structured data can help search engines understand eligible content, but Google says there is no special schema required for its generative AI features. Markup should match what users can actually see on the page.
Measure search and conversion together
Visibility is not the final goal. Track which pages and queries lead to meaningful enquiries, then improve the pages that attract qualified visitors rather than chasing every possible AI-related keyword.
Next step
If you are planning a related project, share the current website or workflow and the result you want to improve. Anil Designer can help map the page, UI or system requirements before development starts.
